After receiving threatening letters, having water shut off, and being illegally locked out of their apartments, tenants are going to their City Council to demand their elected officials protect their rights!
All over the metro area, Black and working class tenants are being pushed out of their communities and having their basic rights stomped upon. This is the corporate billionaire agenda— to buy up properties for speculation while allowing them to fall apart, then kick tenants out whenever they want.
The people must stand up and fight back! On Monday, join the tenants for a press conference at 6pm and then sign up for public comment for the council meeting that begins at 7:30pm.
