Come rally and march with us! Now is more urgent than ever! We will continue to rise up until every last demand is met!

Emergency Rally for Rafah!

Stay in the streets for Palestine!

Join us for an emergency rally on Tuesday, May 7th at the Israeli Consulate in Atlanta.

Palestinian resistance has accepted a proposal by international mediators that would lead to a withdrawal of Israel from Gaza. However, today Netanyahu ordered 100,000 Palestinians to evacuate a section of Rafah and has escalated a heavy bombing campaign on the tiny, 25 square-mile city where millions have fled. Due to mass pressure, Biden has supported the deal — now all eyes are on Netanyahu to see if Israel will accept.

We must keep up the pressure in this urgent moment! Demand a permanent ceasefire now! End all US aid to Israel!

Walkout and Rally: SCAD Atlanta

Join SCAD Students as they walk out of classes in solidarity with Columbia University students in support of an immediate ceasefire and to call for divestment by SCAD from Israeli companies!

SCAD students condemn the blatant disregard from SCAD regarding the Palestinian people’s suffering in Gaza at the hands of Israel, and the overwhelming number of partnerships with companies that not only directly contradict SCAD’s claim to create an inclusive environment advancing diversity and equity, but directly contribute to tens of thousands of deaths, the cruel, remorseless murders of tens of thousands of Palestinian people, primarily women and children. This is purely hypocritical, opportunistic, and inhumane on behalf of SCAD, and the students are heartbroken to know their tuition contributes to an alliance with such corrupt corporations.

The students will not have blood on their hands for pursuing an education.!

Land Day Rally for Palestine

On Saturday, join millions around the world taking the streets for Palestine, calling for a permanent ceasefire and an end to all U.S. aid to Israel!

No business as usual so long as the US and Israel continue their genocide!

The UN has passed a resolution for an immediate ceasefire for the month of Ramadan, with the US abstaining for the first time. But this is not enough! The people demand a permanent ceasefire!

The U.S. shamelessly continues to give cover to Israeli occupation, and refused to allow the UN resolution to call for a permanent ceasefire.
But this UN resolution is significant as it shows that the people of the world aren’t giving up and stand with Palestine.

Land Day commemorates the Palestinian people’s steadfast resistance against the illegal and forced displacement and confiscation of their lands by Israel. Since 1976, the day has recognized the sacrifice of those who have bravely stood up against the Israeli occupation with strikes, protests, and demonstrations.

Each year’s commemoration amplifies the call for justice, liberation, and the right to return for the Palestinian people. This year’s Land Day is especially urgent as the Israeli occupation’s violent and genocidal actions continue.
We must continue to do our part and take to the streets!

SHUT IT DOWN FOR PALESTINE!

Georgia Tech Walk Out for Palestine!

GA Tech: No business as usual in a genocide!

On Thursday, Mar 14, we call on all students, faculty, and staff of conscience at Georgia Institute of Technology to walk out of class in solidarity with the Palestinian people! Refuse to be complicit in genocide!

We are five horrific months into the U.S. backed racist-apatheid Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Israel has killed tens of thousands of Palestinians, destroyed the majority of civilian infrastructure, and is starving over 2 million people under siege. Israel is now planning a ground invasion of Rafah, to carry out its worst massacre yet. We join the global mass movement of millions that demands an end to the siege of Gaza and Rafah, a permanent ceasefire and an end to the 76-year colonial occupation of Palestine.

We condemn Georgia Tech’s complicity in Israeli apartheid and U.S. imperialism. Georgia Tech must end all the academic programs supporting the U.S. military industrial complex. Science and technology should be used only for the benefit of humanity, not to terrorize and bomb oppressed nations abroad.

Today marks the deadline set by the genocidal Israeli regime for the beginning of the most brutal phase of its war on Gaza: the invasion of Rafah. With every passing moment, the need becomes more urgent. On March 13, the global day of action for Palestine, we will take to the streets to demand an immediate ceasefire and an end to the siege on Gaza. After massacring tens of thousands of Palestinians over the last five months, Israel continues to starve over 1.5 million Gazans seeking refuge in Rafah.

The U.S. government is fully complicit in this genocide. We demand an end to all U.S. military aid to the racist state of Israel, a permanent ceasefire, and an end to the 76-year colonial occupation! Take a stand for a free Palestine and demand an end to Neytanyahu and Biden’s genocide!

International Working Women's Day: Rally and March for Palestine

This International Working Women’s Day, we take to the streets to shut it down for Palestine!

IWD calls us to follow the example of working class women around the world who have led the struggle against imperialism.

March 8 will also mark five months since the beginning of the genocide on Gaza. In this time, Israel has carried out its genocidal project by murdering over 35,000 Palestinians, more than half of whom are women and children, continued to destroy critical infrastructure such as schools and hospitals, and carried out horrific attacks of sexual abuse and humiliation against Palestinians.

Women continue to be at the forefront in the fight for peace and liberation. Since the beginning of the Zionist occupation, Palestinian women have played a critical role in the mass struggle against the Israeli occupation as combatants, streategists, and leaders in the fight for a Free Palestine. We honor their sacrifices, and commit ourselves to fighting from within the belly of the beast.

Over the last five months, our movement has only grown stronger, and pressure on the U.S. and Israeli governments that facilitate this genocide has increased exponentially. WE DEMAND: STOP THE GENOCIDE! PERMANENT CEASEFIRE NOW! END THE OCCUPATION!

KSU Walkout for Palestine

On Thursday, KSU students will join millions around the world who are taking urgent action for Palestine this week calling for a permanent ceasefire and an end to all U.S. aid to Israel!

Join us to walk out of class and rally on the green. No business or school can continue as usual so long as the US and Israel continue their genocide!

Israel announced a March 10 deadline for an invasion of Rafah - a city of only 25 square miles but holding more than 1.5 million refugees.

The UN reports that Israel has already killed, injured, or disappeared over 100,000 Palestinians since October 7th. UNWRA reports that over 500,000 Palestinians are facing “catastrophic hunger.”

Meanwhile Biden continues to fund billions in weapons to Israel. Blood is on the hands of Biden, Netanyahu, and all institutions that fund the imperialist war machine!

All people of conscience must stand in solidarity with Palestine and demand an end to the genocide!

Fight Sexism and Racism: Rally and Vigil

Join us at City Hall to say: "Stop scapegoating immigrants! Fight racism! Fight sexist violence!”

Right wing forces are gathering at city hall to call for increased policing and anti-immigrant measures following the politicization of Laken Riley’s tragic murder by figures such as Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Brian Kemp, and others. Except increased policing would not make Athens more safe and does not solve the issue of sexist violence against women.

These figures are framing this tragedy as a migrant issue, because the alleged perpetrator is an immigrant from Venezuela. Already, the Georgia State house has used this tragedy to pass a bill that would allow police to arrest anyone they suspect to have “illegally” immigrated. This is a racist, disingenuous distraction from the true root of the problem–patriarchal violence.

If we do not stand up and speak out, the right-wing will seize complete control of the narrative of Laken Riley’s murder to further their racist agenda.

We must make it known that THE RACIST SCAPEGOATING OF IMMIGRANTS IS NOT WELCOME HERE!

ATL JOINS MILLIONS IN THE STREETS FOR GAZA!

Gaza is facing famine, its hospitals are besieged, threats of ground invasion in Rafah loom near, and Israel continues to unleash its onslaught on the over 2 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The mass movement for Palestine has led to the isolation of the US and Israel on the world stage. With growing internal divisions and heightened political pressure on Israel and the United States, it’s time to push even harder. Our mobilization in this moment can be more decisive than ever, and we must show our full strength now to ensure a lasting ceasefire and an end to the siege on Gaza.

Film Screening: Deacons for Defense

Black History Month Film Screening

To close out Black History Month, join us for a screening and discussion of “Deacons for Defense” on Thursday, February 29th @ 7pm at the Atlanta Liberation Center!

The film is loosely based on the activities of the Deacons for Defense and Justice in 1965 in Bogalusa, Louisiana. The African-American self-defense organization was founded in February 1965 as an affiliate of the founding chapter in Jonesboro, Louisiana, to protect activists working with the Congress for Racial Equality (CORE), others advancing the Civil Rights Movement, and their families.

Bogalusa was a company town, developed in 1906–1907 around a sawmill and paper mill operations. In the 1960s, the area was dominated by the Ku Klux Klan. During the summer of 1965, there were frequent conflicts between the Deacons and the Klan. This film depicts some of this struggle in service of the overall fight for civil rights and justice against racist vigilantes.

Vigil for Aaron Bushnell

Vigil for Aaron Bushnell

Honor Aaron Bushnell!

ATLANTA: EMERGENCY VIGIL, TUESDAY FEBRUARY 27th at 7:30PM. 1100 SPRING ST NW.

On February 25th, 2024, Aaron Bushnell, a 25 year old active duty member of the US military, self-immolated outside the Zionist embassy in Washington, D.C. Aaron lit himself ablaze in protest of the United States’ ongoing complicity in the genocide on Gaza. In making the most extreme sacrifice a human being can in support of a moral cause — his own life — Aaron sent a message on behalf of the masses of the US and of the world, that people of conscience everywhere will refuse complicity in the unfolding genocide against the Palestinian people until our last breath.

While US media is already spinning the story as one of a mentally ill, troubled youth, Aaron’s own message in the seconds prior to his act demonstrate the moral clarity and foresight with which he pondered and ultimately decided upon his act. Aaron is now the second person to self-immolate in protest of the US-backed genocide on Gaza, the first being a woman in Atlanta who lit herself on fire outside the Zionist consulate in Atlanta, Georgia.

There is perhaps no metaphor more powerful for US empire than the response of police at the scene. Instead of running to put out the flames with fire extinguishers and save Aaron’s life, cops drew their weapons and pointed them directly at Aaron as he stood burning to death.

The word for martyr in Arabic, “shaheed,” translates to “witness,” or one whose final moment in life is as a witness to injustice. Aaron Bushnell is a martyr, whose final moment was spent in the heat of one naked, unflinching truth: the moral conscience of every human being, from the belly of the beast to the farthest reaches of the Earth, demands immediate attention and action to end the horrors before us.

Let’s honor Aaron’s last words and legacy together as we continue the fight for a Free Palestine and the liberation of all oppressed people.
