The system has reached a breaking point. While billionaires accumulate unimaginable wealth like Elon Musk becoming the world’s first trillionaire, millions struggle with rising rents, stagnant wages, attacks on immigrants, endless war, and a political system that serves the interests of the wealthy. From Trump’s wars to the deepening cost-of-living crisis, capitalism’s destructive logic is on full display.

But people are fighting back. This year has seen the resurgence of the general strike movement, communities defending immigrant families against ICE terror across the country, and socialist candidates making major electoral gains in New York City, the center of global capitalism. This isn’t an anomaly: it’s the emergence of a new political consciousness. More people are recognizing that another world is possible and searching for an alternative.

That alternative is socialism.

This summer, PSL Atlanta is hosting a local screening and discussion series of The People’s Forum’s Socialist Summer School: The People vs. Billionaires.

Over five weeks, we’ll collectively study how we arrived at this moment, where we’re headed, and the strategies needed to build a movement capable of taking on the billionaire class and winning a society organized around human needs instead of profit.

Everyone from all places, backgrounds, and identities, no prior organizing experience needed! Bring your friends, family, and coworkers. Whether you’re brand new to socialist ideas or have been organizing for years, this is a space to learn, ask questions, build community, and deepen your understanding alongside others.
