What’s the call? FREE THEM ALL!
When the prison doors are opened, the real dragon will fly out!
Round out Black August with a critical discussion with Eugene Puryear and Vick Dempsey as we expose the roots of mass incarceration, from convict leasing and Jim Crow to the War on Drugs and the modern-day prison-industrial complex. We’ll strategize on dismantling these systems—and building real safety through community power and collective resistance.

His book Shackled and Chained is an invaluable tool for understanding the development of mass incarceration in the US.
